President & Senior Human Resource Consultant

Anne Wettstein joined Human Resources Consulting in 2012 and has grown into a seasoned Senior HR Consultant and Partner with over 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience. She brings comprehensive expertise across all functional areas of HR and frequently serves as interim HR leadership for client organizations, providing stability, strategy, and hands-on operational support.

Anne specializes in Leadership Development, Compensation Architecture, Performance Optimization, Talent Acquisition Strategy, and Employee Relations. In addition, her expertise spans Workforce Planning, Organizational Design, HR Compliance and Risk Management, Benefits Administration, and Training & Development.

She serves as a trusted advisor to business owners and executive leadership, providing executive-level support on workforce strategy, operational alignment, and people infrastructure that drives sustainable growth. Anne ensures HR initiatives are both compliant and business-focused, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Employment and Labor Law within the private sector.

She is OSHA 10 Certified, SHRM Certified, QuickBooks Certified, Mediation Certified, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications and a wide range of HRIS platforms.

Nick Erler

Vice President & Senior Human Resource Consultant

Nick Erler joined the firm in 2013 as a Human Resources Consultant. He quickly established himself as a high-performing advisor, contributing to the acquisition and support of several key client partnerships. In recognition of his impact and leadership, Nick was promoted to Senior HR Consultant and later named Partner in the firm. In 2022 he purchased Human Resources Consulting LLC along with his business partner Anne Wettstein. He brings more than 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience across the full spectrum of human resources strategy and operations.

Nick’s expertise includes HR audits, talent acquisition, compensation analysis, employee handbook design, policy development, compliance management, FMLA and leave administration, employee engagement initiatives, training and leadership development, organizational restructuring, conflict resolution, workplace investigations, risk mitigation, benefits administration, onboarding strategy, and benefits design/administration. He partners with organizations both on-site and remotely, providing strategic HR leadership, executive coaching, employee relations guidance, and interim HR management support. Nick has also successfully led numerous interim HR engagements for organizations across Northeast Wisconsin, delivering practical, business-aligned solutions that strengthen operations, ensure compliance, and enhance workplace culture.

Diane Biersteker

Founder

Diane Biersteker serves as Founder of Human Resources Consulting. She has over 35 years of strategic and tactical experience serving as a Chief HR Officer in growing companies. Along the way she eagerly accepted the challenge of starting two Human Resource departments from scratch. Diane utilizes that depth of experience to provide HR Consulting clients access to a strong business mind first and then second, serves as the critical and trusted HR partner needed for success.

Diane’s expertise in Strategic and Tactical HR support provides “turn-key” service in all aspects of Human Resources. HR Compliance Audits, Policy and Procedure, Recruiting and Hiring Practices, Personnel Development, Retention Approaches, Compliance Issues, Managerial Support, Labor Relations, Executive Coaching & Guidance, as well as significant experience with Mergers & Acquisitions rounds out the wide array of ways Diane can contribute

Samantha Pedersen

Senior Human Resources Consultant

Samm joined Human Resources Consulting in 2018 and has advanced from Consultant to Senior HR Consultant, where she now provides dedicated interim HR support and operational leadership to her own client portfolio. Through years of hands-on experience, Samm has developed strong expertise in core HR operations, compliance administration, and workforce support functions that keep organizations running efficiently and compliantly.

Samm brings specialized strength in payroll processes, 401(k) plan support and audits, workers’ compensation administration, and benefits management. She works closely with employers to ensure accurate payroll execution, retirement plan compliance, audit readiness, and proper claims management — providing both strategic oversight and detailed follow-through. Her thorough approach helps organizations mitigate risk while maintaining a seamless employee experience.

In addition to her compliance and payroll expertise, Samm supports clients across a broad range of HR functions including recruitment for hourly and technical roles, job description development, policy and employee handbook updates, onboarding and offboarding processes, background and reference checks, offer letter preparation, and CDL compliance tracking. She is highly skilled in benefits enrollment and administration, employee record management, and the implementation of structured HR processes and procedures.

Samm is known for her organized, detail-oriented approach and her ability to manage multiple HR functions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness. She is proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe applications, and various HRIS and payroll systems.

She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, graduating with highest honors. 

Tara King

Senior Human Resources Consultant

Tara King joined Human Resources Consulting LLC in August 2024 as a Human Resources Consultant, bringing over 15 years of extensive HR experience to the team. With a career spanning both publicly traded and privately held companies, Tara has developed a broad expertise in managing HR functions across diverse industries, including manufacturing and office environments.

Prior to joining Human Resources Consulting LLC, Tara was a Leadership Development Specialist, where she excelled in creating and delivering training programs for employees at all levels, with a particular focus on leadership coaching and development. Her role also included interim HR Business Partner support and serving as the interim Talent Acquisition Leader, showcasing her versatility and strategic insight.

Tara’s career began with a strong foundation in publicly traded companies, where she served as a Sr. Human Resources Representative. In this role, she specialized in employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition, driving significant improvements in HR practices and employee engagement.

Allison Lauritzen

Senior Human Resources Consultant
Allison Lauritzen joined Human Resources Consulting in 2025 as a Human Resources Consultant. She has over 11 years of experience in a variety of Human Resources functions, including compliance, HRIS management, payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, policy development, and performance management. She is also knowledgeable in federal contractor reporting requirements, including affirmative action plans and ACA reporting.
 
Allison is approachable and collaborative, with a strong attention to detail. She enjoys tackling unique challenges, streamlining processes, and helping organizations operate more effectively.

RYAN RIETH

SHRM-SCP

Ryan Rieth, SHRM-SCP, is a seasoned human resources executive and consultant with nearly two decades of experience partnering with organizations to build effective people strategies that drive business results. He has led HR functions across financial services, healthcare, nonprofit, and service-based organizations, advising executive teams on talent strategy, organizational design, total rewards, compliance, and culture.

Ryan has served in a variety of HR leadership roles at organizations ranging from 500-7,000 employees, with up to $30B in assets, providing end-to-end HR solutions –from building HR departments from the ground up to optimizing existing people practices. His work includes executive advising, compensation strategy, HR technology selection and implementation, compliance and risk mitigation, leadership development, and employee relations.

Throughout his career, Ryan has delivered measurable outcomes, including significant cost reductions, improved retention and engagement, reduced vacancy rates, and the design of scalable talent and leadership development programs. He is known for translating complex HR and employment law concepts into practical, business-aligned solutions that leaders can confidently execute.

Ryan is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and holds advanced certifications in employee relations law and equity compensation. He brings a pragmatic, data-informed, and people-centered approach to every client engagement, with a focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and a strong employee experience.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys traveling the world, spending time with his family, and enjoying the great outdoors at his cabin in northern WI.

Hallie Jiskra

HR Admin

Hallie brings a strong foundation of professionalism, organization, and leadership to Human Resources Consulting. With a background as an elementary Physical Education teacher, Hallie developed exceptional skills in structure, communication, time management, and relationship-building — strengths she now applies in supporting both our team and our clients.

As an HR Administrator, Hallie serves as a central point of coordination for our consultants, functioning as an executive-level administrative partner across a wide range of HR functions. She plays a key role in keeping operations organized, efficient, and responsive, ensuring critical HR processes are executed accurately and on time.

Hallie provides essential support in recruiting, onboarding, employee record management, and day-to-day HR administration. She assists with candidate coordination, new hire documentation, policy acknowledgments, benefits paperwork, and maintaining organized personnel files. Her attention to detail and proactive approach ensure that both internal workflows and client-facing HR operations run seamlessly.

Her ability to balance multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and anticipate team needs allows our consultants to focus on strategic HR initiatives while she ensures operational excellence behind the scenes.
